Congregations conduct surveys of their attenders for two reasons. One reason is that a survey helps the congregational leadership to better understand who the congregation is and what are their needs and preferences. It helps with planning for the future.  Another reason is that a congregation may be at a decisive point because of conflict, community changes or membership losses. A survey provides a hard-nosed assessment of the congregation that helps shape strategies for congregational revival or renewal.
The DecisionsPoll is a simple, quick survey that produces solid, usable data about your congregation that helps either with long-range planning or with resolving your future. In 30 questions, the survey covers the important parts of your congregational life. How often do people attend? What are their preferences in worship? Do they feel they belong there? How many are married? What do they like about the congregation? What is their commute time to church?
The DecisionsPoll is conducted by your congregation, following recommended methods described in a provided guidebook. Once the survey forms are collected, the forms are sent to us to compile and from which we then produce a report. The six-page report on your congregation is returned in about 30 days. The report includes the highlights of your survey, and the responses to each question, illustrated with key tables and charts.
The basic cost of the survey is $299.50. That includes the survey form for you to copy and distribute, the guidebook of how to conduct the survey, and your report on the resulting responses. That price includes tabulation of up to 120 survey forms, a number that will cover the average congregation, given the average return rate. (Every additional 25 responses over the first 120 responses are $49.50). Like all Visions-Decisions reports, we provide free phone consultation on the report and conducting the survey itself.
